DFDS Seaways
Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab (The United Steamship Company), founded in 1866, is the oldest and largest shipping company in Denmark. DFDS Seaways is one of four divisions that make up the DFDS Group. With annual turnover of around DKK 4.8 billion, close to 4,000 employees, 31 frieght vessels and 8 passenger ships. Annually DFDS Seaways transports approximately 1.8 million passengers and 200,000 cars on the eight routes traversing the sea between Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Holland and Great Britain. DFDS Seaways currently operate seven modern passenger ships across three main route areas: Kattegat, North Sea North and North Sea South. Kattegat: DFDS Seaways operates the route Copenhagen-Helsingborg-Oslo North Sea North: DFDS Seaways operates the routes Harwich-Esbjerg and Newcastle-Kristiansand-Gothenburg North Sea South: DFDS Seaways operates the routes Harwich-Cuxhaven and Newcastle-Amsterdam.
